The intervention is located in an educational and commercial area within Quito, in a corner building from the 80s.
Built as an apartment building for an extended family, the 3-story, 1-basement building used the upper and lower floors as game rooms for the middle-story apartments. They told us game rooms but in reality they were 100m2 of nothing and poorly lit spaces due to a poor interior layout. But it has a garden and it is beautiful.
In the basement (with garden) of an apartment building, it is proposed to adapt an apartment for a young couple. The proposal adapts to the current lifestyle of the couple and seeks to generate fluid spaces, without corridors and transformable. The department itself is an excuse for exploring the material, the spaces and the mechanisms that make it up.

In this space, a young couple wants to have their home to enjoy their youth and their friends. The proposal adapts to the current lifestyle of the couple and allows the transformation of the social space, through the removable wall of pingos, maintaining a virtual separation of the public and private spaces of the residence.
The patio connects directly to the living room and kitchen as an extension of the social area. Two bedrooms and a third space are proposed that can be used as a guest bedroom. The bathroom with its curved wall seeks to generate fluid spaces, without corridors and is an excuse for exploring the material and mechanisms.
The architecture seeks to generate sensations, which adapt to the user's lifestyle but with strong interventions that create unique experiences. The material tries to be sincere, it allows itself to be explored and manipulated and reveals part of the process of configuring the final result.
